Numerous commercial successes

Agbar posted a number of commercial successes in 2010, proof of the vitality of its teams and the quality of its offerings. The company also won a contract to supply drinking water and treat waste water for the city of Ponferrada, with capacity for 69,000 resident-equivalents over 25 years.

Also in the area of sanitation, Agbar was retained for the waste-water treatment and sewage system of the city of La Oliva. Another significant victory involved obtaining the wastewater system management contract for the city of León. In terms of the production and supply of drinking water, Agbar won the concession agreement to supply drinking water to the city of Calvia at Majorca and to manage drinking water and wastewater services for the city of Petrer in Alicante.

SOUTH AMERICA

Agbar is particularly active in Chile through its subsidiary Aguas Andinas, which provides for the production and supply of drinking water for 7 million inhabitants and waste water treatment for approximately 6 million inhabitants.
